Private Retreats
Courtyard reset weekends at Casa Camélia, light-filled villas above the Bay of Naples, shuttered châteaux in the south of France, tented camps under Rajasthani stars.

The Nomad Experience, Elevated
Retreats, milestones and celebrations across four continents. MWP is the evolution of Mrs Wedding Planner, the same atelier, a far wider view.
Begin planningThe Studio · Est. as Mrs Wedding Planner
MWP stands for Meaningful. Worldwide. Personal.
After years of building intimate, cross-cultural weddings, we've grown into the broader life a client actually lives, the retreat after the wedding, the milestone a decade later, the surprise anniversary in a palace they've never seen.
Every project is designed from a single desk, in one voice, with a hand-picked network of venues, chefs, celebrants and artisans on the ground, from Portugal and Italy to India, the UAE and beyond.
A broader canvas
London · Porto · Marrakech · Zanzibar · Rajasthan
For years, the work lived inside weddings, the quiet, sacred chaos of two families becoming one. We built our craft there: cultures held with care, details no one else thought to notice, a standard that never bent.
Then, one day, a different kind of client walked through the door. Not a bride. A company. They didn't say it outright at first, but what they were really asking for was the same thing every bride had asked for. A moment that felt earned, not generic.
So the dream stretched.
The same instincts that once shaped a bridal party's entrance now shape a leadership team's arrival in a place they'd never fully experienced. The same eye that once chose the wine now chooses the destination, reading its rhythm, its people, its quiet local geniuses, before ever choosing a venue.
Different clients. Different milestones. Same standard, carried further.
What we design

Courtyard reset weekends at Casa Camélia, light-filled villas above the Bay of Naples, shuttered châteaux in the south of France, tented camps under Rajasthani stars.
Off-sites, board retreats, founder gatherings, the same care that once shaped a bridal party's arrival, brought to a team of forty in a place they've never fully seen.
Anglo-African, Indo-Portuguese, Persian-French, two, three, four traditions woven into one seamless day. Fluency, not decoration.
Landmark birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, including a forthcoming celebration at Pestana Palácio do Freixo. Occasions built to be remembered.
Palatial ceremonies, quiet elopements, multi-day arcs. From Pestana Palácio do Freixo in Porto to Atlantic terraces in Freetown and beach shamianas in Zanzibar.
The house of MWP
MWP began as Mrs Wedding Planner. It now stands on its own, a mark rather than a description, with distinct lines working underneath it. Each keeps its own character; all of them are held to the same standard.

GroupDouro Valley
A five-day off-site for a small leadership team, vineyard breakfasts, tasting menus, private guides.
SignatureLondon · Art Deco Hidden Gem
A private art deco townhouse with no house rules, a courtyard long table, a private chef, woven baskets, tropical fruit and ochre pottery on pale linen.
WeddingPortugal · Porto
A baroque palace wedding on the banks of the Douro, a private, three-day arc of arrival, ceremony and river-lit dinner.

London · Unexpected Spaces
Art deco townhouses, civic halls and private courtyards that come with the building and nothing else attached. No fixed caterer, no approved supplier list, no last orders at eleven. We bring the private chef, the food that matters to the family, the drummers at the door and the timing that lets a celebration run the way it should.
See the London spacesCultural insight
A retreat in the Douro cannot be run the way a celebration is run in Marrakech, and a leadership gathering in Zanzibar asks something different again. We read the destination first, its rhythm, its calendar, its people, then shape the experience around the guests who will actually be in the room.
Local seasons, prayer and rest days, market rhythms, licensing, what closes in August. We plan around the place rather than against it.
Menus, seating, music, dress and ceremony held with care so multi-faith and multi-generational rooms feel considered, never compromised.
We work with chefs, florists and makers who belong to the region, briefed to one uncompromising standard of service and pace.
Retreats are built for rest: unhurried arrivals, quiet corners, discretion for guests who are recognised elsewhere.
Interpreters, bilingual stationery, transfers and arrival notes so no guest ever feels they are catching up.
Rituals that matter to your family or your brand are given the centre of the room; the rest simply supports them.
Beyond private celebrations
A private celebration and a brand moment ask for the same thing: a room that feels earned rather than generic. We bring the same access, cultural fluency and concierge care to companies arriving in the UK, Europe or a destination they have not yet chosen.
Guest lists, venues and hosting that read as considered, not corporate.
Multi-day arcs for teams of ten or forty, planned around the place.
Direct lines to palaces, private rooms, chefs and makers we already work with.
Reading a market before choosing a room, so nothing lands off-key.

The atelier
We take a small number of projects each year. Every enquiry is answered personally, and every proposal is built around your rhythm, not a template.
Our clients live between London, Dubai, Lagos, New York and Mumbai; they marry in Porto, honeymoon in the Douro, and return years later for the next chapter. We are here for the whole arc.
